BRAZEN RECOMMENDS: The Interview Tim Ferriss Waited 20 Years to Do

The Tim Ferriss Show #366: Neil Gaiman — The Interview I’ve Waited 20 Years to Do (podcast)

I’ve never heard Tim Ferriss sound as fanboy-ish as he did in this interview, but I don’t blame him—if I got the chance to interview one of the coolest writers in the world after over a decade of dropping hints about it, I would squeak, too. I’m a huge fan of Neil Gaiman myself. His writing has such a strange beauty and pleasant weight to it—it’s somehow ethereal and substantial, light and weighty, whimsical and real all at the same time. In this podcast, we get to hear him share his unconventional productivity techniques, geek out over fountain pens (which he uses to write most of his first drafts!), recall what inspired him to write The Graveyard Book, reminisce on Terry Pratchett and more, all in his “soothing,” “hypnotic” voice, as Tim Ferriss describes it. I really didn’t want this interview to end! You can watch it on YouTube, listen to it on your favourite podcast platform, or read the transcript on Tim’s blog.
