BRAZEN RECOMMENDS: Don’t Delete the Kisses

This song by alternative rock band Wolf Alice is a beautiful, heartfelt synth-pop ode to blossoming romance and the various layers of falling in love. For those of us who are lucky enough to have fallen for someone before, it speaks to a deep part of us we can all recognise and relate to. Backed by dreamy, rolling synths and a solid, steady beat, lead singer Ellie Rowsell earnestly narrates a tale of passionate young love — through the early stages of getting to know one another; to being giddily infatuated with every little thing about the person she's falling for; to grappling with the magnitude of her own desire and self-doubt; to finally accepting that she is, indeed, in love. By the time the song reaches its soaring climax, it's easy to feel as if you are living the story yourself, regardless of whether you have someone else to share it with right now. (And if the song itself isn't enough to give you all the feels, the music video should just about do it!)

So turn the volume up, sit back, relax, close your eyes... and get ready to fall in love.

For any music geeks out there, Rowsell, drummer Joel Amey and producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen broke down the process of creating this tune on Song Exploder! Check it out on Spotify here:
