BRAZEN RECOMMENDS: The Kingdom

THE KINGDOM | A Conservation Story

This short film by Jack and Finn Harries puts a spotlight on Sonam Phuntsho, a forest caretaker who has singlehandedly planted over 100,000 trees in his lifetime. This incredible man completely debunks the idea that one person can't make a difference on their own. Having said that, he does come from a truly spectacular country — Bhutan is over 60% forested and is the only country in the world that's not just carbon-neutral, but carbon-negative. It may be only five minutes long, but this film truly made me appreciate the beauty of nature more, and the lengths that some people, like Sonam, are willing to go to to ensure its conservation. It got me thinking about what more I can do to make a difference, and I hope it inspires you to do the same. (There's also a great behind-the-scenes video with lots of fun moments and more beautiful shots, if you want to check that out too!)
